Residencies

The Residency / Le Tremblay will be aligned with the rhythms of nature, with four key periods corresponding to the four seasons.
Four residencies will be held throughout the year.
The Residency comprises an artist’s studio and an adjoining apartment at the fully renovated homestead, located in the heart of the park.

  • La Résidence | Le Tremblay a pour finalité de promouvoir la création en soutenant une ou un artiste émergent, d’origine française ou étrangère, en lui offrant un espace de réflexion, en lui allouant une bourse.

     

    Afin de permettre aux artistes de la Galerie Christophe Gaillard, notamment celles et ceux d’origine étrangère, de créer de nouvelles oeuvres dans des conditions sereines, la galerie les invite régulièrement à séjourner à La Résidence | Le Tremblay, à l’occasion de leurs futures expositions à la galerie.

     

    La bourse de recherche et d’écriture Mémoires vives a pour ambition d’ouvrir des perspectives contemporaines sur l’œuvre d’une ou d’un artiste historique représenté par la Galerie Christophe Gaillard ainsi que de soutenir la recherche et la pensée critique dans le domaine des arts.

    As part of its 2026 program, La Résidence | Le Tremblay is partnering with the Centre d’art et artothèque Les Dominicaines – Pont-L’Évêque to offer a creative residency culminating in a presentation as part of the exhibition Cambrousse (October–December 2026). The open call is aimed at artists wishing to explore, in a broad and sensitive way, the notions of territory and rurality, through the production of a film work that will be screened throughout the duration of the exhibition.

    On the occasion of the Bicentenary of Photography in 2026, Les Dominicaines is presenting the group exhibition Cambrousse, a sensitive and plural journey into relationships with rurality and territory. Through the works of around ten artists with diverse photographic approaches, the exhibition examines how inhabitants shape their environment, inhabit their landscapes, inherit their territories, and imagine them in everyday life. Through the diversity of approaches, generations represented, and perspectives on rural life, Cambrousse aims to contribute to a contemporary reflection on these spaces, often rendered invisible yet fundamental to popular history and identity.
